Some general tips:
You have to have Gizmo with you at the ground floor of the store, he will jump into the vent and open the locked door on the top floor. If you have him in the inventory, then this wont happen. When you are surrounded by Gremlins, Press Button so that the flash would scare them away (but be careful, the cameras battery may run out.) If you are not using the welding torch, type Close Valve so that the gas doesnt run out, but then you must have the igniter with you to light it again.
